Each month, tango guitarist Scott O’Day hosts a different guest musician as part of our series, Tardecitas de Tango. This month, Scott will be joined by guitarist and vocalist Marcelo Puig. Marcelo Puig was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he started studying classical guitar at the Manuel de Falla Music Conservatory as a child. He then began playing American and Latin American popular music, Folk, Rock and Blues. As an adult, he discovered Brazilian music and Jazz and then once he moved to the Bay Area, Argentine Tango music. Marcelo is an active local performer with over 30 years of teaching experience in soloing, accompanying, and singing popular music.
